Buhari’s minister boasts, says APC’ll win Anambra election with seen and unseen forces

Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment, has boasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra state.

The Punch reported that the minister said the APC will win the election as it is heading to the poll with seen and unseen forces.

Ngige was quoted to have said:

“We are going to win this election. We have started. We are laying the blocks. We did the foundation. We are putting the blocks on.

“By November 6, you’ll see the house, the roofing and everything that a complete house has been built. We’ll go into the election with seen and unseen forces.”

He said this in Alor, in the Idemili South local government area of Anambra state, during the revalidation of his APC membership.

Legit.ng gathers that Ngige stated this in reaction to Victor Umeh, a former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who had said that the minister will lose his ward in the coming election.

Meanwhile, Celestine Okoye, a newly retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), on Wednesday, February 10, registered as a member of the APC in Anambra.

Okoye joined the party at his polling unit of Ward 3, Awka, in the Awka South local government area.

The former police boss is intrested in contesting the state’s governorship seat on the platform of the APC.

In a related development, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Chukwuma Soludo has also made known his intention to contest in the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election.

Soludo declared his interest in the race on Thursday, February 18, in Awka, the capital of the state.

The apex bank’s former boss said if given the mandate, he will consolidate on the economic reforms of Governor Willie Obiano through his international network.
