On Sunday, February 7, Timo Werner was impressive for the Blues as he produced two assists which helped the Stamford Bridge landlords to beat Sheffield United in League game.

Despite making two great assists, Timo Werner has failed to score for Chelsea in 14 League games this season.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Graeme Souness claimed that Frank Lampard would not have lost his job at Chelsea if Timo Werner had performed.

”I’m yet to be convinced by Werner. Chelsea are a team that’s full of really good players with big technique.

”They get into the last third time and time again and they will wonder what he is doing. They need more from him.

”Put it this way, if he had done the business, Frank would still be in a job.”

Thomas Tuchel and his wards at Stamford Bridge are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League table with 39 points after 23 games played so far.
