Former Paris Saint-Germain star Jese has stated that his team-mate Kylian Mbappe idolises Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo and would love to play for the Spanish giants someday.

According to Jese who currently plays for Las Palmas of Spain, Mbappe would fit in perfectly at the Santiago Bernabeu outfit and would jump at a chance to make the switch.

Mbappe who is yet to extend his contract with the Parisians has his future hang in the balance as he has been constantly linked away from the Parc des princes.

His current contract ends next season and should he refuse to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 outfit, Real Madrid might likely be his destination.

Jesse told El Partidazo de COPE via GOAL:

“He would love to go to Real Madrid. His idol has always been Cristiano Ronaldo. He loves Madrid and I am sure he will play there one day.”

The 27-year-old Jese had his contract terminated at PSG in December having managed to feature just once for the club with his career there marred by injury.

He is now hoping to rebuilding his career, saying he has left the past and now wants to focus on his future. He added:

“I am keen to talk about football. I have to leave the past behind and now I want to focus on football.

“I have always given my all but in the end things haven’t worked out.

“I had offers from Turkey, Mexico, Saudi Arabia … I am here because I have my loved ones close by as well as the club’s support.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona’s hopes of signing their former player Neymar may have been dashed after the Brazilian hinted he is willing to extend his Paris Saint Germain’s contract.

The 28-year-old became the world’s most expensive player in 2017 after completing a five-year move from the Catalans to join the Parisians in a deal valued at around €222 million.

Although, he was rumoured to be unhappy in his first few seasons at the Parc Des Princes owing to their disappointments in European competitions.
