Katsina, Edo listed among top 9 kidnapping states in Nigeria (see full list)

Massive reactions have trailed a list alleged by Shehu Sani to contain nine states in Nigeria that have recorded the highest cases of kidnappings.

The human rights in a Tweet on Tuesday, January 19, titled the list: Top nine kidnapping states.

According to the former lawmaker, states in the list include:

1. Katsina

2. Zamfara

3. Borno

4. Kaduna

5. Niger

6. Ondo

7. Cross Rivers

8. Edo

9. Rivers

The ex-senator, however, did not disclose the records he relied on when compiling the list.

However, the list has generated huge reactions from users on Twitter. While some users claimed the list was incomplete, others disagreed outrightly with the activist for including some states.

A third group, on the other hand, questioned where Shehu Sani got his information from.

Meanwhile, the deputy vice-chancellor of Anchor University owned by Deeper Life Ministries, John Fatokun, was on Monday, January 18, kidnapped by some unknown gunmen.

Fatokun, according to sources in the university who spoke with PM News, was abducted by armed criminals on his way to drop his children at the Deeper Life High School in Nasarawa.

The sources also revealed that although Fatokun’s abductors have established contact with his family members, they have not made any request for ransom.
