A Nigerian woman identified as Uju Anya has taken to social media to share her win after she was offered to join a university in the United States as an associate professor.

According to Uju, she will be joining the Modern Languages Department at Carnegie Mellon University as associate professor of second language acquisition in July 2021.

She wrote:

“I’ve been eager to share some very good news and now finally can. I accepted an offer to join the Modern Languages Department at Carnegie Mellon University as associate professor of second language acquisition starting July 2021. Kids and I will be moving to Pittsburgh in June.”

In other news, an academic identified as Evans Omondi has taken to social media to celebrate his achievement after bagging a PhD in applied mathematics.

According to Omondi who shared the good news on his LinkedIn page, his PhD journey successfully came to an end following his graduation.

Omondi, who lectures mathematics and statistics at Strathmore University, wrote:

“The long PhD journey successfully came to an end following the graduation. Congratulations are in order!!”
