– A Nigerian kid, Victory Yinka-Banjo is a hallmark of brilliance after writing various exams this year and coming out great
– Out of the international exams she wrote and did well were IGSSE and IELTS as she was counted among the 1% top candidates
– Victory’s WAEC results came out in flying colours of A’s despite being withheld by the body for many weeks
A Nigerian teenager, Victory Yinka-Banjo, has had an amazing year of great results in all her examinations as she finished her secondary school education in December.
On her LinkedIn page, the smart girl said that she sat for IELTS, JAMB UTME, IGSSE. She added that in all the exams she had a 99% success.
Victory, however, said out of all the exams she passed, she would like to talk more about her 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as the exams body withheld her results.
The girl said that because she needed the results to process her university applications, she was emotionally down all through the period they were pending.
“It was emotionally traumatic for me because I needed it for my university applications and the uncertainty was killer. Plus, having withheld results is not perceived as a good thing. I cried A LOT, even the day before my graduation (Dec 12th).”
After holding her results for six weeks, the council finally released them and according to her, they all came out spotless with nine A’s.
The girl said that the challenges she faced in the year have restoked her belief in God. She asked people to connect her to scholarships as she is presently on hunts for them.
Legit.ng compiled some of the reactions to her post below:
“Congratulations Yinka! I don’t think you have any issue with getting scholarship to any university in the world. The only issue I may wish to bring to your attention is that you are not meant for Nigeria. You are already a global citizen. Never apply to any Nigerian university. They will frustrate you the way WAEC did, but you were eventually lucky….”

“You deserve nothing less than Ivy League my dear and they would be lucky to have you! I believe the American and British embassies should have taken you on to help you apply to Ivy League school and their scholarships. Anyone who knows please comment here.”
